The best part of our Christmas stay was the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. The flickering fire in the fireplace and the soft lighting created a warm and inviting ambiance. The comfortable furnishings added to the overall charm of the place. the well-equipped kitchen made it easy for us to prepare our holiday meals.

One aspect that we didn't particularly like was the lack of parking space near the cottage. It was quite inconvenient to have to park a distance away and then carry all our luggage to the accommodation.

Plum Tree Cottage is one of the best places we have ever stayed in across the UK. the location is perfect for exploring County Durham and beyond, with plenty to see and do in the area. the cottage itself is warm, welcoming, and beautifully furnished with all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the huge comfy bed and the lovely touches like the bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival. We can't wait to return and stay here again. Cons: Nothing, it is perfect! 👌.

I recently stayed at Plum Tree Cottage for a relaxing bank holiday weekend. The cottage is beautifully finished and near wonderful circular walks along the river and countryside. Our furry friend felt right at home and we enjoyed the BBQ and spacious garden. The hosts, Bev and Mark, were welcoming and friendly, and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! The location is perfect, with easy access to local attractions like Beamish and its nature reserve.
